West Hills Hospital and Medical Center Awards Emergency Department Management Contract to Emergent Medical Associates
(August 30, 2009, Los Angeles, CA) West Hills Hospital and Medical Center in West Hills, CA and Emergent Medical Associates (EMA), a leading provider of physician staffing and practice management services, announced that they have entered into a service agreement for emergency department (ED) physician staffing and management beginning September 1, 2009. EMA will manage all ED physician functions, from physician recruitment, to identifying areas of improvement regarding clinical performance, risk management, process improvement, patient satisfaction and daily operations.
Dr. Lee R. Weiss will serve as the Medical Director while Drs. James de la Torre and Ashraf Abdelkerim will be the Associate Medical Directors for West Hills Hospital Emergency Department.
