For 2018, we have 3 Regional Physicians of the Year and 3 Regional Advanced Practice Providers of the Year. The regions are LA Basin, SFV Region and Outside LA Region. LA Basin
Physician of the Year
Congratulations to Dr. Ralph Conner our 2018 EMA Physician of the Year-LA Basin Region! He has been with our EMA family since 2004 working at Montclair Hospital Medical Center and San Dimas Community Hospital. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California and completed both Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine Residency at LAC + USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, where he was also the Chief Resident for Internal Medicine. He is a published author with, “The Interpreter” a Medical Textbook. Comments from his peers such as, “Dr. Conner, is a cornerstone of our hospital at Montclair. Advanced Practice Provider of the Year
Congratulations to Eric Soto, PA our 2018 EMA Advanced Practice Provider of the Year-LA Basin Region! He has been with our EMA family since 2015 working at Montclair Hospital Medical Center. He received his Primary Care Associate in Science degree from Foothill College and is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Besides working as a PA, he is also an active reserve in the Army National Guard. Physician of the Year
Congratulations to Dr. Oren Hirsch our 2018 EMA Physician of the Year-SFV Region! He has been with our EMA family since 2005 working at Providence Tarzana Medical Center. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine, received his Doctor of Medicine degree at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York and completed his residency as the Chief Resident at New York University Bellevue Hospital Center in New York. He has spent time training community members in pre-hospital care in Jamaica and provided daily didactic and clinical teaching in developing emergency departments in Romania. He is the recipient of several honors including the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation Research Fellowship. Comments such as, “Excellent clinical acumen, professional, calm and effective and highly ethical”, “Willing to help out other providers with shifts. Advanced Practice Provider of the Year
Congratulations to Elizabeth Hartman, PA our 2018 EMA Advanced Practice Provider of the Year-SFV Region! She has been with our EMA family since 2014 working at Valley Presbyterian Hospital. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and received her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Practice from the Keck School of Medicine of USC in Los Angeles. During her time at USC she received the Women’s Health Typhon Award in 2013 and was elected USC PA Class of 2014 Treasurer. Congratulations to Dr. Miguel Dozier our 2018 EMA Physician of the Year- Outside LA Region! He has been with our EMA family since 2015 working at Los Alamos Medical Center. He is board certified in Internal Medicine with several added qualifications in Critical Care Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Stanford Medical School in Stanford, California and completed his Primary Care/Internal Medicine residency at Alameda County General Hospital in Oakland, California. He is enrolled as an active tribal member of Pueblo of Santa Clara, Espanola, New Mexico. He is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He received his Associate of Science from Riverside Community College District in Moreno Valley, California.
