Congratulations To Our 2020 EMA Provider Spotlight of the Quarter!

EMA’s Spotlight of the Quarter is Molly Brady, MD!

Med School: University of Connecticut School of Medicine
Residency: LAC + USC Emergency Medicine Residency

Dr. Brady grew up in Connecticut and has lived in LA for 9 years. She was an EMA fellow in 2016 and continued as a director post-fellowship. Her aspiration to become a doctor didn’t start until her senior year of college. She was a collegiate (D1) athlete at UC Berkeley that dealt with a lot of injuries playing collegiate lacrosse (concussions x 2, tooth knocked out, broken nose, dislocated patella, stress fractures). As she engaged with the team physicians and trainers, she realized that she loved learning about what they did. During medical school Dr. Brady loved (almost) every specialty, but finally decided that she belonged in Emergency Medicine because she knew she would never get bored.

Outside of work, Dr. Brady’s life revolves around family, work, exercise, and friends. Her hobbies consist of hiking, tennis, reading historical fiction and learning how to cook. One of her greatest challenges during the pandemic has been staying at home with her 3-year-old (Thea), 2-year-old (Henry) and 2 cats (Bear + Zuma). Pre-pandemic, Dr. Brady loved exposing her kids to new places in LA such as the LA Zoo and Disneyland.

“My favorite part of being at EMA are the relationships. I’ve found life-long friends and mentors, and I love that I can be part of so many aspects of EMA (administration, education, informatics, etc). I’ve felt very supported during my 5 years with EMA!”
