EMA’s Director Spotlight of the Quarter is Jamie Eng, MD!Med School: Rosalind Franklin School of Medicine – MD
Residency: LAC-USC EM – Residency training, Chief
Dr. Eng got her start doing clinical research and became a doctor to pursue more direct patient care. According to Dr. Eng, she chose emergency medicine because the fast pace suited her personality. Her favorite part of working for EMA is that she has been able to work at some amazing sites with awesome coworkers. She highly respects each and every single one of them: “What we do isn’t easy, and they are very reassuring to have around.”
Prior to becoming the Director of EMA and Benchmark’s Fellowship Program, Dr. Eng was an EMA fellow herself! Outside of work, Dr. Eng’s passions include traveling, camping, yoga, art, baking/cooking, and eating. She also enjoys family time with her husband Jeff, and her 3 children she affectionately refers to as “wildlings”. If she had to sum up her work in one sentence, she says she is: “Trying to do the right thing most of the time but doing it with a very short temper and foul language.”
