EMA's AHP Spotlight of the Quarter is Bradley Winkel, PA!Bradley Winkel has been with EMA for almost 5 years as a PA in the emergency room at Temecula Valley Hospital. The variety of what you see in emergency medicine makes it the best field, he says, as it forces you to be at your best at all times. He also enjoys the team mentality and camaraderie in emergency medicine. As a PA, he’s able to connect the dots for his patients.
Bradley credits his mentors as well as his experience abroad in the Peace Corps as a motivating factor to pursue being a PA in emergency medicine. In the Peace Corps, he collaborated on several health initiatives with the lead health officer at the embassy who was a PA.
Originally from Michigan, Bradley attended University of Michigan for his undergraduate and Duke University for PA School. Now, him, his wife, and two children enjoy life in Southern California. Bradley additionally serves as a PA for the National Disaster Medical System on Team CA-4 based out of San Diego. Recently, he was deployed in support of COVID-19 operations in Arizona. When off the job, Bradley spends time hiking, basketball, and rooting on the Wolverines.
